This book is a great book, it shows me different experiences for different people and how god delivers them through it all. There are good and saddening stories but it gives us an assurance that god is in control. I Highly recommend this book to all.

This was a very meaningful book and is probably one of my favorites out of what I've read this year. I especially enjoyed the symbolism throughout the story.

Parachutes, Kelly Yang’s debut YA novel, is a powerful book that explores the lives of two teenage girls who live immensely different lives, yet share many similarities: Dani, a Filipino-American girl who is on a full scholarship to a private school in California, and Claire, a Chinese international student -- “parachute” -- who transfers to Dani’s school and boards at her house. This novel masterfully blends romance, drama (which is sometimes a bit cliche), as well as strong characters to create a very enjoyable story that addresses many difficult issues.

This biography of Henrietta lacks shines some light on the woman whose immortal cells transformed medicine. Her life and person is widely unknown and unrecognized and her family does not receive any of the profit made off of her cells. This book talks about ethics and racism in the world of medicine, a serious but undiscussed topic.

This fantasy and action novel is a very enjoyable read. It combines mythology, action, and comedy perfectly, and Riordan perfectly narrates the story in the perspective of a cocky god. The plot is also very action packed and fun. It has lots of Greek Mythology and even some Drama. I love Rick Riordans other works, like Magnus Chase and Percy Jackson, and he is my favorite author. There are a lot of really cool and good characters, who are really diverse and unique.

Many awesome facts are inside of this book, and all of them are true. I read it all in 20 minutes because it's so good.

It’s a great book. I would recommend 10/10. Especially if you enjoyed The Hunger Games Suzanne Collins. Would recommend for ages 10 and up.
