Amal’s sister is helping her catch up on school work at home by teaching Amal what she learns at school while Amal is at home taking care of her mother and the house.

It was a difficult and slow read, but I worked on it an hour or two a week for a while. It was okay. I didn't really understand why the protagonist was so anxious to get into the castle, or why his lady friend was so into him, or many things at all during the reading, but it was mildly okay.

This book is about a Jewish girl that is running away from the Nazis and asked help to hide in her friends house. Her friends name is Annemarie Johansons and the Jewish girl's name is Ellen Rosen. Ellen acted like she is the sister of Annemarie so that Nazis won't catch her.Ellen's parents are under arrest of the Nazis Ellen's parents escaped from the Nazis and traveled to Annemarie's house to see Ellen. Ellen and her parents left Annemarie's house and moved to a different country or a different state.

The beginning of the book was fun, but I hope the pace quickens up a bit more.

This book is a great book, it shows me different experiences for different people and how god delivers them through it all. There are good and saddening stories but it gives us an assurance that god is in control. I Highly recommend this book to all.
