Things Fall Apart
by Chinua Achebe

This book is now considered my favorite book. The story takes place in Nigeria. the life of Okonkwo, the leader of an Igbo community. Okonkwo has many wives and children and he is a very strong man. Unfortunately, he is banished from his village for 7 years due to him accidentally killing a member of the village. There we learn how civilization came to the villages. Churches were made. People started to look unto the all mighty God, then their false gods. Long story short Okonkwo ends up killing himself. The book gets its praise from its intelligent and realistic treatment of tribal beliefs and of psychological disintegration. I am Nigerian and this book really made me compare and contrast how my land has changed over time.

The Dragonfly Effect
by Gordon Korman

I had a fantastic time reading The Dragonfly Effect and I was also very satisfied with the ending. Stanley X’s introduction to this series was entertaining and of course I loved the reintroduction of Tommy Cicerelli and Kira Kendall. Overall, I had an amusing experience reading this book and I hope that I will be able to discover more books of this kind. Gordon Korman had very finely written this book and along with recommending this book, I also recommend this author and he has written almost 96 books with many being huge hits. Definitely do check out The Dragonfly Effect and I hope you enjoy it!

The Audition

(BTW I accidentally put the audition review under the callback so this is the callback.) The Callback is a great book about time management and dance. It shows the struggle of spreading yourself to thin and the struggle of maintaining friendships. I definitely recommend.
