I absolutely loved this book. It was very raw and heart-warming. The way the author wrote made it seem as if Lily (Main Character) was right next to you talking to you and explaining her story. It is an great read that I highly recommend!

When Raina goes on a one-week long car trip with her family for a whole three weeks, things get crazy. A snake in the van, not much fun with her cousins, the car breaking down, and the heat, it doesn't go well till the end... An exciting story of a crazy car trip.

Although this book was published in the 1800s many of the themes like love, class, and family is still relevant to this day. This book was extremely well written from the characterization to the diction.

Winterwood
by Shea Ernshaw

View in Library Catalog

Winterwood, a mysterious YA fantasy by author Shea Ernshaw, tells the tale of teenager Nora Walker, who has lived her whole life in the woods near the quiet town of Fir Haven. But she is far from your typical high-schooler -- Nora is descended from a long line of witches. To her dismay, however, she has shown so signs of having the same incredible powers as the women who came before her. It all changes when Nora discovers a boy, Oliver, in the forest two weeks after he was reported missing in the midst of an all-consuming snowstorm. How did he survive, and why does Nora feel such a strange connection to him? And how is Oliver linked to the other boy who went missing the same night as him? Nora soon finds herself drawn into a dark web of secrets, lies, and magic that she cannot escape. Though Winterwood has a captivating premise and is gorgeously atmospheric, it’s also disappointingly predictable and features a bit of unnecessary romance. In the end, though, it’s an intriguing and beautifully-written fantasy novel. I didn’t enjoy it as much as I hoped, but someone else would probably love it.

The Miscalculations Of Lightning Girl
by Stacy Mcanulty

I enjoyed reading this book. It is abut a girl who gets struck by lightning on her head. All of a sudden she gets smarter!! A few days later her teacher gave her an assignment to perform a job (any kind). What did she pick? There were many options. She chose a pet job. Pi numbers started popping in her head. The her routine was sit, stand, sit, stand, sit, stand. That was the funny part. The story keeps getting enjoyable! I recommend this story for people who love math and pets.
